Product Traceability
At Clada Group we understand the need for product traceability.
Traceability is the ability to trace the history, application or location of the products manufactured and distributed by Clada Group. Towards this end, Clada also maintains an approved suppliers list, which incorporates a full list of their products and specifications.
- All our existing suppliers are visited on a regular basis
- All new suppliers are audited and are only placed on our approved list if they meet the criteria needed
- All own manufactured products incorporate traceable batch numbers
In line with the Beverage Council of Ireland (BCI) recommendations pertaining to (EC) No 178/2002 Clada Group have a traceability system and product recall plan in place. This system encompasses supplier traceability' (one step back) and 'customer traceability' (one step forward).
The management of the Clada Group bottling plant has established systems and procedures to demonstrate compliance with traceability, notification, recall and withdrawal legislation as specified in Irish and European Legislation.
All manufactured products are clearly traceable to a specific production batch for traceability. In addition each unit produced is uniquely coded that the date and time of bottling can be established, which can also be used for product traceability purposes.
